INDIANAPOLIS ENFORCERS TEAM HISTORY

The Indianapolis Enforcers where established in 2010 by KC Carter.

It has always been KC Carter's dream to own a men's professional sport team and in 2011 that dream came into existence. After 35 years in football as player, owner, defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator, head coach and even league commissioner. Carter and the Indianapolis Enforcers became an expansion franchise in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL) in the 2011 season. They were a travel team that first season.

The  Indianapolis Enforcers first season 2011

In the first season of the Indianapolis Enforcers they had to play most of their games on the road because they joined the CIFL late. The Enforcers did get to host one home game that year at the 10th Street Sports Center back on April 17, 2011 vs the  Chicago Knights only to drop that one by a score of 42 to 14.  The Enforcers first game of the 2011 season open with a lost to the Port Huron Predators by a score of 69 to 12 back on February 26, 2011. On April 2, 2011, the Enforcers became a part of CIFL history, by giving up 8 rushing touchdowns in one game, in route to a 78 to 0 lost the Marion Blue Racers. The Enforcers finished the 2011 season with a record of 1-9 and 6th place over all in the CIFL.

Note: The Enforcers where able to sign Mike Whitaker QB from the "Fort Wayne FireHawks" old Arena Team, Michael Cupp a DT from the "Fort Wayne FireHawks" Arena Team, and Ricky Emery a very talented player from the Chicago Cardinals.

The  Indianapolis Enforcers second season 2012

With the Enforcers rolling into it second season with the CIFL things where looking up. The Enforcers come into the new season with a home field. They found theirselves playing at The Sport Zone on the north west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. after playing all but one game of their 2011 season on the road. The Enforcers let go of their defensive coordinator Tiny Lee, and replaced him with wide receivers coach  Brian Hendricks.  The Enforcers feel Hendicks as the teams New defensive coordinator will do a great job communicating with the players. The Enforces also make a big announcement going into the 2012 season with the Signing of CIFL veteran quarterback, Ron Ricciardi to their offense.

Ron Ricciardi's play and veteran leadership brought instant stability to the Enforcers offense. Ricciardi was coming off a injury from previous game, he entered the off the bench throwing five touchdowns. This was the most touchdown passes thrown by any Enforcer QB all last season, and the most touchdown thrown by the hole team last season. Ricciardi lead the Enforcers to their franchise very first victory on the field back on March 31, 2012 vs the Chicago Vipers 40 to 34 at The Sports Zone in Indianapolis, Indiana bring the Enforcers record to 1-3. Ricciardi was reinjured and went onto the teams injured reserve list for the rest of the season. The team finished 1-9 again for the second season but the team did show improvement and growth.

Note: Big News for 2012 where, the signing of Chicago Knights/Vipers QB Ron Ricciardi and Teammate and wide receiver Willie Tolon. Also signed Dayton Silverbacks defensive back Donavan Evans. The Enforcers best player linebacker Marvin Davis was a nice surprise signing by Coach Brian Hendricks.

After the 2012 season the Enforcers would shut down and not return for the 2013 season.

The Rebirth of the Indianapolis Enforcers the 2018 season.

The 2018 season started off in the early 2017 with a conversation with Michael Summers in Portland Oregon and Pedro Carriedo the commissioner of the MPIF football league convince me to bring the Enforcers back to a Developmental Arena Football League.  Coach Carter had to go out and find the staff but she found coach Perry McMurren has his defensive coordinator coach Rod Starks as the teams offensive coordinator and put Paula's Tate-Morman in as the teams president.

The Indianapolis Enforcers start off their season in Chicago against the defending champs Midway Marauders it was the first time that most of the Enforcer players had ever played. An Arena Football game. The Enforcers drop that game big time. The next game was in Chicago against the Westchester Apaches the Enforcers drop that one in the close one.  After that the enforcers came home Android off two straight victories another Victory later found themselves in playoffs. The Enforcers wound up hosting its first-ever playoff game I guess the defending League Champs Midway Marauders. Enforcers actually LED that game at Halftime but the experience of the defending champs took over in the second half dust ending the Indianapolis Enforcers season.  We finished the season with a reg. record of 4-2 and ind third place in the MPIF, but went 0-1 in the playoffs. It was the first time in the teams history to host a playoff game.

That season ended with several players winning League Awards:

# 2. Monsanto Love Jr led the league in interceptions with eight in three games played was named the League's defensive back of the year

The 2019 season

The MPIF league merge with the American Arena League (AAL)  forming one of the largest arena football leagues in the United States. The Enforcers hope to make a big impact in the new league which is much bigger more talented and Faster Talent. It is our hope that the city of Indianapolis will grow with the Indianapolis Enforcers as we look to move into the Indiana Farmers Coliseum in 2020.

The 2019 season had it's challenges it had some teams that did not show up or forfeited. We he had to play Michigan three times in the regular season and once in the playoffs, and it's kind of hard to play a team four times in the same season, but we did. We also were able to play other teams that stepped in to feel out our schedule but overall we did well for a second consecutive season since returning after the 2012 season. We finish the season with a 3-3 season fourth in the league and 0-1 in the playoffs.

We had defensive end Tim Short make the media All Star all league team and we have linebacker Cornelius Edmunds make the league all League team as a linebacker voted by his peers in the league coaches and players you like to say congratulations to those two players for their hard work in dedication to the team.

Are seizing also sauce who's one of our best players in the team's history Ryan Buchanan who got injured in the last game of the regular season with a knee injury hand surgery in the wishing well well hope to see him return in the 2020 season. DeAndre Powell one of our rookie quarterbacks had to leave the season due to him and his fiance losing a baby my prayers still go out to their family. Are 2019 season wasn't without adversity in a lot of way, but we made it through and we look so much forward To are  2020 season.
